Training & Events
The South Dakota Department of Health and Department of Social Services, alongside partners of Avoid Opioid SD, host training and events throughout the year statewide.
- Avoid Opioid SD events are intended to increase awareness and share education and resources to prevent prescription opioid misuse, abuse, and overdose in South Dakota. Many events are free and open to the public.
- Trainings are available for South Dakota organizations or associations that provide direct support to populations affected by opioid misuse/abuse. They cover the latest research, treatment methods, and prevention resources for opioid use disorder and overdose.
